Kristin Thompson

Kristin is a Real Estate Advisor with The Menkiti Group, bringing a unique technical lens to the home buying, selling, and investing experience. With a background in civil engineering and construction management, Kristin leverages her deep understanding of the built environment to guide clients through real estate transactions with clarity and confidence. Her experience managing high-value development projects gives her a distinctive edge in evaluating properties, navigating renovations, and advising clients on long-term investment potential.

Prior to her transition into real estate, Kristin served as a Development Project Manager at The Menkiti Group, where she collaborated with architects and engineers, oversaw construction progress, managed budgets, and led tenant buildouts from concept to completion. Her career began in environmental consulting, followed by several years managing construction and renovation projects across Northern Virginia.

Originally from Dallas, Texas, Kristin moved to the DMV in 2015 to further her career in construction management. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and earned her Certified Construction Manager designation in 2018. She is a member of the Construction Management Association of America.

Now based in Congress Heights (Ward 8), Kristin is proud to live in and serve the same communities where transformational development is taking place—including the MLK Gateway, St. Elizabeth’s, and The Yards. Outside of real estate, she enjoys exploring DC with friends, tackling DIY projects, and playing flag football on the weekends.
