Metropolitan Overlook | 1831 2nd Street NE (Washington, DC)

Metropolitan Overlook is a modern and affordable residential condominium community. The project features a mixture of market rate and affordable for-sale condominium units that specifically cater to a neighborhood with a pressing need for affordable housing. The project includes a total of 37 units, 11 of which are designated as Affordable Dwelling Units (ADUs).

Through a unique financing partnership with DC-based non-profit City First Homes, a covenant was placed on the property to ensure that the ADUs would be preserved in perpetuity. City First Homes will provide ongoing stewardship and support for the affordable unit owners.

The District’s Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) originally selected the Menkiti Group/Dantes partnership to execute the project through a public RFP process.
