WASHINGTON – The CPMG Foundation, founded in 2014 by the Menkiti Group and Keller Williams Capital Properties, and Ryan Kerrigan of the Washington Redskins launched “Kerrigan’s Korner” at The HSC Pediatric Center, on Wednesday afternoon.
The HSC Pediatric Center is a medical facility for youth with long term hospital stays. The Kerrigan’s Korner transformed a room at the HSC Pediatric Center to give hospitalized children access to tablets, laptops, PlayStations, DVDs, games and other electronics. The devices will be used for therapy, entertainment and communication with people outside the hospital. The room was sponsored by the CPMG Foundation and Ryan Kerrigan’s Blitz for the Better Foundation.
The CPMG Foundation was founded by the leadership of both the Menkiti Group, an integrated real estate services firm, and Keller Williams Capital Properties (KWCP), a real estate brokerage network in DC, MD and VA, with the intent to respond to diverse social needs existing in the National Capital Region and make a meaningful and lasting impact on the communities.
“At the CPMG Foundation our intention has always been to give back in a meaningful way. We are excited to work with Ryan Kerrigan, and to support the HSC Pediatric Center in their commitment to serve children with complex healthcare needs,” said Kymber Menkiti, Founder of the CPMG Foundation and President of Sales at the Menkiti Group.
“This is the Blitz for the Better Foundation’s third Kerrigan’s Korner – each one seems to be getting better and better,” said Kerrigan. He thanked The Menkiti Group and Keller Williams Capital Properties for their support before saying, “It’s really exciting how the Blitz for the Better Foundation has grown around DC and how Kerrigan’s Korner has taken off. After opening just one Kerrigan’s Korner last year, we have already opened two in 2016.”
While unveiling the Kerrigan’s Korner, the Menkiti Group and KWCP team accompanied Ryan Kerrigan to visit current patients and take part in a sensory therapy class.
The primary focus of Ryan Kerrigan’s Blitz for the Better Foundation is to provide opportunities, support and resources to children and families in need in the Greater Washington D.C. area.
