How about DC’s “Walk Score”?

Rated as the 7th most walkable and bikeable city in the U.S., Washington DC’s housing market continues to gain traction. An advertised walk score of 77 out of 100 indicates one’s ability to accomplish errands solely on foot. Residents of the city can agree that their proximity to frequently visited places (like grocery stores) and the general flat geography that makes up DC, makes the city a walker’s and biker’s “paradise”. Even when a certain destination may seem like a stretch, DC’s transit score of 71 out of 100 keeps the journey palatable.

With property listings in and around the DC, MG Residential was delighted to see that they have properties in a few of the “10 most walkable, bike-friendly neighborhoods”.  Adams Morgan, the 6th in ranking, is where one of our favorite rentals is located. Right in the heart of Adams Morgan on Kalorama Road is a two bedroom, two bathroom industrial chic, contemporary condo. This gorgeous loft-style home with huge warehouse windows and 13-foot ceilings is 1100 sq ft and steps from restaurants and bars in Adams Morgan, 18th Street and U Street.  With an overall walk score of 95, who could beat it?
