Bo Menkiti, CEO of the Menkiti Group and Keller Williams Capital Properties, recognized on Washington Business Journal’s 40 under 40 list of honorees

WASHINGTON – Today, the Washington Business Journal recognized Bo Menkiti, CEO and Founder of the Menkiti Group and Keller Williams Capital Properties (KW Capital Properties), as one of their 40 under 40 honorees, a list acknowledging 40 of Washington, D.C.’s brightest young business leaders under 40.

In 2004, Mr. Menkiti founded the Menkiti Group, which was ranked as the largest minority-owned business in the District of Columbia in 2015. In 2006, Mr. Menkiti co-founded KW Capital Properties, the fastest growing real estate brokerage in the Washington D.C. region. Under Mr. Menkiti’s leadership, KW Capital Properties has witnessed a meteoric climb in the past nine years, reporting $1.5 billion in closed sales volume in 2014 across its five offices throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

Mr. Menkiti has been a realtor for eleven years and in 2014 he was named District of Columbia Realtor of the Year by the National Association of Realtors. Earlier this year, Keller Williams Realty, the #1 real estate company in North America, honored Mr. Menkiti as the 2015 ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ and he was also recognized by the Washington Business Journal as one of the most influential business leaders in the Washington metropolitan area in 2014.

Mr. Menkiti is committed to driving both an economic and a social impact, and through the Menkiti Group has invested $120 million in Washington D.C.’s low-moderate income communities and guided KW Capital Properties to profit share more than $3 million with its associates.

Mr. Menkiti is a graduate of Harvard University and lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and three young sons.
