2017 MG Transformations

How did we Transform Lives, Careers, and Communities in 2017?

The success of the 23rd Annual Brookland Trolley Tours served as a great concluding benchmark for the 2017 year.  This community event also stands out as it is one of the larger collaborative sponsored events that we do each year In 2017, we participated in and sponsored over 40 community events. From our Semi-Annual Clothing Swaps (our next one being on Feb 3rd) and Brookland Movie night series, to our participation and sponsorships at Fort Lincoln Day and Rhode Island Ave NE Mainstreet Fall Festival, we have stayed busy within Brookland and the surrounding DC neighborhoods amassing more than 200+ hours in community service and giving $45k+ in donations.
What a great year in regard to community involvement!
Deemed one of the top places to work by the Washington Post for the 4th year in a row, The Menkiti Group enjoyed additional new faces who joined the team over the course of last year.  Growing and mentoring individuals into their real estate careers, whether agents or operational, MG assisted in offering 20+ individuals the opportunity to flourish within or beyond the company walls.

The accolades kept coming in last year, allowing us to claim the top spot, for the 10th year in a row, as the number one brokerage for closed deals in Brookland and Woodridge. Of the 200+ closed deals in 2017, over 40 were First Time Home Buyers who had the pleasure of working with The Menkiti Group when buying their first homes.

Taraneh Bastani December 2017-
“The Menkiti group helped me buy a house in 2009 and helped me sell it in 2017 when I moved away from DC. Thanks so much to Mary Hodges, Virginia Gergoff, and Joe Scavetta for all your hard work, amazing savvy, and insights on the DC market. I know I got super lucky to have your help throughout the process!”
