The month of June is one to remember for the DC Housing Market. Home prices in the city shattered their record highs. The median sales price hit $621,000, eclipsing the previous record by $18,000.
While just two neighborhoods — Hillcrest and the Southwest Waterfront — hit an all-time record, a slew of others broke price records for the month of June. Check out the list below.
To put DC’s record home prices in perspective, consider this: In June 2008, just before the housing crisis, median home prices in the city came in at $422,500, which means that prices have increased 47 percent over the last ten years.
