RESIDENTIAL REAL ESTATE AGENT LISTING SPECIALIST- MG RESIDENTIAL

We are seeking a highly motivated residential real estate agent with sales and marketing experience to serve as a Listing Specialist on our award-winning residential sales team. This role is essential to the rapid growth of our residential sales team, which is expanding into additional markets in the metro area.

Duties & Responsibilities:  

  • Participate in all listing team activities and deliverables including daily lead generation activities
  • Effectively manage a portfolio of upcoming, active and under contract properties ranging from 6 to 20 properties simultaneously
  • Identify, contact and secure appointments with potential sellers maintaining consistent lead follow-up until the prospect lists or decides not to sell
  • Develop and apply expert knowledge regarding local market conditions and pricing trends to secure a listing price
  • Facilitate and conduct listing appointments
  • Present key market data to support the pricing strategy for the property
  • Convert sellers from appointment to listing agreement
  • Provide consistent lead follow-up
  • Promptly respond to all client communications
  • Contribute and manage the development of property specific marketing plans
  • Gather agent/buyer feedback and deliver weekly reports to the sellers
  • Provide high-level fiduciary advice on pricing reductions and other marketing strategies
  • Effectively negotiate the contract for sellers
  • Service active listings through contract negotiations
  • Provide regular support and check-in with the transaction coordinator as the listing moves through the contract to close phase
  • Attend final closing with the client
  • Participate in community-based activities sponsored or supported by the organization

Key Logistics: 

The listing specialist will:

  • Maintain regular business hours
  • Work from The Menkiti Group DC Headquarters
  • Participate in all activities organized by MG Residential team
  • Meet weekly with the listing team, the VP of sales, and other support staff to review the status of listings
  • Report weekly numbers to the MG Residential team
  • Effectively utilize MG Residential database system

 Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, and customer service
  • Experience in a high growth or start-up environment preferred
  • Ability to work independently with high attention to details
  • Ability to understand and analyze statistics and general market data
  • Residential real estate license or the ability to complete licensing requirements
  • Strong verbal communication skills and social poise
  • Extremely organized, self-disciplined and professional in demeanor
  • Access to reliable transportation to visit properties as needed
  • Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to work in collaborative teams as well as individually
