Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage recognizes two agents as "Rookies" of the year
Designation goes to agents in Capital Hill North and Potomac offices (March 21, 2005)

Washington, D.C. - Two Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage realtors were recognized during Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Annual Awards Luncheon as "Rookie of the Year." Hal Maxwell, president and chief operating officer, named Bo Menkiti, a realtor with the Capital Hill North office, and Mariam Abrahim, a realtor with the Potomac office, rookies of the year ending 2004.

The "Rookie of the Year" award recognizes the outstanding achievement by a sales associated based on Gross Commission Income in their first full year of real estate. Menkiti had over $307,000 in Gross Commission Income, while Abrahim had $282,000 in Gross Commission Income.

Abrahim is a top producer with Coldwell Banker Residential with over $12 million dollars in sales in 2004. Her designations include Graduate Realtor (GRI), certified Relocation specialist and she is licensed in the Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. She is a resident of Potomac, Md. where she and her husband Ramin raise their twin sons Bijan and Cyrus. Abrahim is also an active volunteer in Montgomery County Public Schools.

Menkiti, who heads the Menkiti Group, is a 1999 cum laude graduate of Harvard University with a degree in sociology. He is a past winner of the Neil J. Houston and Donald Morland Awards for Public Service and Social Action as well as the city of Cambridge's Mack Davis Award for the highest service to the Cambridge community. Menkiti has also served as the Chief Operating Officer of College Summit, a national non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the college enrollment rates of low-income students. At College Summit Menkiti lead the growth of the organization from a local non-profit to a national multi site organization serving over 4000 students across the country. Under his leadership College Summit was named to Fast Company's "Top 20 List" of social entrepreneurial organizations, and was recognized by the Department of Education as a key component of enabling diversity in higher education.
