The Ilora Condominiums consists of 21 one and two bedroom units. The building was vacant for 3 years before it was purchased in 2006 and fully renovated by the Menkiti Group into The Ilora Condominiums. The Ilora is located in the greater Brookland neighborhood in Ward 5 of Washington, DC between two metro stations and is within walking distance to most of Brookland’s parks, universities, and retail. The seven different 1 and 2 bedroom floor plans all have one bathroom and an in-unit washer/dryer. They feature open layouts with hardwood floors, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The units were priced to accommodate local service professionals who are often priced out of the Washington DC housing market. A total of 14 units were set aside as “Affordable Units” for those earning less than 80% of AMI. The remaining 7 units were set aside as “Workforce Units” for those earning between 80 and 120% of AMI.
