Obtaining Insurance
Homeowner’s Insurance:
If you are purchasing a house, you will need to obtain homeowners insurance and make sure proof of insurance is sent to your lender.
Condo Insurance:
If you are purchasing a condo your unit will already be covered through the building’s master policy, but your belongings are not covered. You may want to get condo insurance (which is similar to renter’s insurance) for your belongings.
